Reading today confirmed that Technical Director Brian Tevreden has left the club to join Belgian outfit KSV Roeselare as their CEO.

Tevreden arrived at the Berkshire club two years ago and was seen as an important figure in helping build a capable squad for Jaap Stam that went on to finish third in the Championship.

Ultimately though, that season ended in disappointment with the Royals unfortunate to miss out on promotion after Huddersfield beat them on penalties.

And, things didn't go to plan at all for anyone connected to the club last season, with Paul Clement drafted in to replace Stam as he managed to keep the side up on the final day.

Now, there is further change, with Tevreden off, he told the official site how much he has enjoyed his time with Reading.

"It has been an absolute honour to represent Reading Football Club during the last two and a half years and a real privilege to work alongside so many good people within the club – owners, members of the board, managers, coaches, players, supporters and staff."

Here's how the supporters reacted to his departure...

Most are happy with the news, then, and it now remains to be seen what other big changes are on the way after a poor start at the Madejski.
