Leeds United forward Marcus Antonsson seems set to leave Elland Road in the coming weeks and could join up with Serie B side Brescia.

There is a Leeds connection at the Italian outfit, as they are owned by former Whites owner Massimo Cellino who was very controversial whilst in charge of the Yorkshire club, making several bizarre sackings and appointments during his tenure.

Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay revealed that the Italian media believe Brescia are interested and he added that Leeds are happy to sell the player.

Despite joining for £2m from Swedish football, Antonsson failed to make an impact and was sent to League One Blackburn on loan last season.

At Ewood Park he wasn't a regular in the first XI although he did make a positive impact throughout the season as Rovers won promotion.

Here's how Leeds fans reacted to the update, although it's fair to say some supporters were looking for some other news...
