‘Good news’ – Plenty of Stoke City fans react as club reach agreement with player



Plenty of Stoke City fans have taken to social media to react after the club announced that goalkeeper Joe Bursik has signed a new long-term contract at the Bet365 Stadium.

The 19-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for Stoke, but is rated very highly at the Championship club. He’s currently on loan at League One side Accrington Stanley, where he has impressed so far this season.

The highly-rated shot-stopper has made nine appearances for Accrington so far this – including five in League One – and has kept three clean sheets.

Stoke announced earlier today that Bursik has penned a new three-and-a-half-year contract at the Bet365 Stadium and many fans were quick to react to the news on social media.

Many Stoke fans were pleased with the news, while others urged the club to get striker Tyrese Campbell tied down to a new deal.

Campbell, 20, has scored four goals for Stoke this season, but his current deal at the Bet365 Stadium is set to the expire in the summer and the striker has been linked with moves to both Celtic and Rangers recently.
