Plenty of Leeds United fans have reacted to the news that striker Caleb Ekuban is close to completing a permanent move to Turkish club Tranzonspor.

Ekuban joined Tranzonspor on a season-long loan last summer and scored eight goals in 36 appearances for the Turkish giants, convincing them to exercise their option to sign him on a permanent deal.

The Yorkshire Evening Post are reporting that Leeds have negotiated a seven-figure fee for the player and are hoping to use the money to strengthen their own squad this summer.

Ekuban joined Leeds from Italian club Chievo Verona, but the striker failed to make an impact at Elland Road, scoring just two goals in 21 appearances for the Whites.

The news that the forward is close to completing his permanent move to Turkey caused a reaction from Leeds fans on social media.

Some fans were disappointed that things did not work out for Ekuban at Leeds, but were pleased for him to secure his move.

Other fans were very pleased with the reported seven-figure fee Leeds could be getting for the player and are excited about the possibility of new signings.
