Good news and bad news: Preston injury update ahead of vital Fulham clash

The Lancashire Post has shared some Preston North End team news ahead of this weekend’s clash with Fulham.

There is mixed news for Preston North End fans as they prepare to travel to Craven Cottage, knowing a win would take them above Fulham and keep them well in the hunt for a play-off position.

Preston’s midfield options will be boosted by the return of influential central midfielder Ben Pearson.

The former Manchester United trainee has been a key player this season but he missed last week’s 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers with a minor groin niggle.

After completing a full week’s training unscathed, Pearson is available for selection for this weekend’s vital Championship match.

However, Simon Grayson will continue to struggle at right back with a quartet of injured players in that position.

Marnick Vermijl, Alex Baptiste, Calum Woods and Tyias Browning all remain sidelined, which means that Greg Cunningham – who is naturally a left back – might have to continue in that position.

Preston fans – what do you make of this news? Can you beat Fulham? Can you still reach the play-offs? Let us know in the comments below…
