Queens Park Rangers' defender Conor Masterson is set to be loaned out in January, and R's fans have had their say on his situation.

Joining from Liverpool in the summer, Masterson was one of the more exciting signings made by Mark Warburton.

But the 21-year-old is yet to feature for the QPR first-team and it was reported yesterday by West London Sport that Masterson is due to spend the second-half of the season out on-loan.

A centre-back by trade, Masterson is able to play in a more defensive-midfield position too. He's also a regular representative for the Republic of Ireland U21 side, having featured for them in their Euro 2021 U21 qualifying campaign this season - they're top of their qualification group.

QPR fans have since had their say on Facebook whether they think it's a smart move by Warburton, with some mixed reviews.

When asked whether they think it's a good idea to loan Masterson out in January, here's what the QPR fans said:

John Dyer: No. Play him on a regular basis

Grant Foster: If he isn't going to get a look in with the first-team, then it's a good idea.

Tommy Faulkner: Be good experience for him, hopefully he goes to a decent side though.

Mark Avery: Obviously MW doesn't think he's good enough at the moment.

Steve Bartlett: Let's be fair, he can't be as bad as our present centre backs, same old mistakes being made, ball watching and bad marking on a regular basis.

Mike Gale: Wycombe?

Danny Kent: Letting in 5 against the bottom team in the Championship, try him!
