Luton Town have reportedly shortlisted Nigel Adkins as one of their managerial targets according to a report from Yorkshire Live.

Adkins has been out of work since he opted not to sign a new deal with Hull City at the end of the 2018/19 season in the Championship.

He guided the Tigers to a 13th place finish in the second tier, which is impressive given the lack of transfer funds that Adkins received in his time with the club.

Luton have been without a manager since Graeme Jones mutually terminated his contract with the club earlier this month.

The Hatters are currently sat 23rd in the Championship table, and will be hoping they can find a manager that is capable of guiding them out of the bottom-three when football returns.

Plenty of Luton Town fans took to the 'Luton Town Away Days' and 'Luton Till I Die' Facebook Groups to issue their thoughts on whether Adkins would be a good appointment on not at Kenilworth Road.

Take a look at the best of the reaction below....

Andy Bishop: "Nooooooooo."

Alan Tennyson: "Yes from me. He done a great job at reading."

Dale Williams: "Done good job at Scunthorpe. Interesting one."

Richard Day: "Would be a good choice."

Kevin Peters: "Not for me, just another manager from the constant ever changing merry go round."

Mark Buckingham: "Decent gaffer; did a good job at Hull steadying the ship after Silva and a Russian lunatic nearly got them relegated. I’d be happy with that."

Derek Borino: "People do realise the next manager will be below the pay grade of Graeme Jones.

Giles Phillips: "Not for me either thought he was very good at one point but felt he lost his way. Ironically Scunthorpe manager against Luton in the JPT final."
