French side Monaco have signed Belgium international Nacer Chadli from Championship club West Bromwich Albion, the Baggies have confirmed.

The 29-year-old winger had not featured for the Baggies this season and was keen to move away from The Hawthorns after the club's relegation in May.

Chadli scored six goals in 36 league appearances for West Brom.

So is this good business for West Brom?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, they get most of what they paid for him, so they’ll be happy.

Let’s be honest, he was a flop at the Hawthorns.

He never settled, he rarely impressed, and he won’t be missed.

To get a decent fee is as much as Darren Moore could hope for. Good business.

George Dagless

Yes.

He didn't want to play for them anymore and so they have got a good fee for him.

It's a decent sum of money for an inconsistent player.

Jay Williams

With Chadli always heading to the exit door this summer, it was just important that West Brom grabbed as much money for him as possible.

Luckily for them, he had a decent World Cup so his value was probably boosted by that.

The Belgium international could have been a useful player in the Championship but keeping him was unrealistic and the Baggies had already prepared for his departure.

West Brom fans will not be disappointed to see Chadli leave, as he had a poor attitude at times.

Jay Taylor

Good business this.

Had West Brom acted sooner and sold him earlier they have have got more but £10million is reasonable business for a player who was just eating up the wage bill and not being selected.

Chadli had a good World Cup for Belgium so they could have a little more but his lack of club football the past two years means they have got a decent price for a player who just needed to be gone.
