Luton Town made it a superb 25 games unbeaten yesterday as they drew 2-2 at Kenilworth Road with struggling Gillingham.

Despite the unbeaten run continuing, it was a less than impressive performance from the leaders, albeit against a resilient and focused Gills side.

As the season ebbs away those sides at the bottom often raise their game and that was certainly evident yesterday, although Luton maintained their lead over Barnsley by virtue of the Tykes' draw with Doncaster Rovers.

Danny Hylton bagged the opener for the home side, a smart finish after what has been a difficult season for him. He's been out with injury and has seen James Collins excel in his absence.

He has also been sent off twice, resulting in just seven goals from 27 matches, including a hat trick against Accrington Stanley. That's in sharp contract to his 20-a-season from the past two campaigns.

He'll be needed now more than ever by the Hatters as Collins misses next week's game. He's on international duty with Eire, placing huge responsibility on Hylton's shoulders.

Hylton's strike has been warmly received by fans on Twitter, they're now hoping their talisman of the last two seasons is finding form at exactly the right time.

Here's how they reacted to his goal yesterday.
