Prominent Leeds United reporter Phil Hay has put a piece out this morning asking if Leeds United have ever had a better chance of promotion back to the Premier League, prompting much response from positive fans.

It's been 14 years since Leeds slipped out of the top flight, their longest spell out of the limelight since their creation in 1919. With the hundred year anniversary approaching, there could be no more fitting way to celebrate that a triumphant march towards one of the best divisions in the world.

There's been false dawns before, last season promised so much early on, but ended with desolation and confusion. Two managers failed to push them to a top six finish, but this season they've raised the bar.

Marcelo Bielsa is a respected coach on the world stage, far more so than either of Paul Heckingbottom or Thomas Christiansen. Leeds are playing good football, their squad look focused and committed and despite the bad luck with injuries, they're still in the hunt for the coveted automatic spots.

Can they do it? Is this the best chance they've had since dropping out of the top flight?

These fans seem to think so.
