Football League World's Charlton Athletic fan pundit Kieran Keogh has given an honest assessment of where he sees Conor Gallagher's future after he finishes his spell at the Valley this season, with the 19-year-old currently flourishing on loan with the Addicks this season.

Gallagher of course has been one of Charlton's leading lights this season, with the young Chelsea loanee having played 11 games for the Addicks, scoring four goals and assisting one, in what has been a solid start to his career in professional football after progressing through the Stamford Bridge outfit's youth system.

Naturally, the 19-year-old's exciting performances in the centre of midfield have caught the eye of figures higher up the football pyramid, with Gallagher having received a call up to the England under-21s squad for their games against Slovenia and Austria respectively.

Keogh has also weighed in with his thoughts on how he sees Gallagher's future developing in the next few years, with the Charlton fan pundit stating:

"As much as I would like him to stay at Charlton, I have to be realistic about the situation and say that he is highly unlikely to be at the club past the end of this season.

"Gallagher has the potential to go to the very top of the game, which may be unfortunate for us, however it seems more and more likely that he will make the grade at Chelsea in years to come."

Before going on to say:

"It's highly likely that he will spend a good few years with Chelsea, before which he may be loaned out again to another Premier League club to gain more experience.

"The main reasoning I can give for this, is that I have never seen a young player show as much maturity as Gallagher has, I can't even begin to imagine how good he will be in a few years time.

"I'm 100% sure he is going to go to the very top of the game!"

It'll definitely be interesting to see how Gallagher develops his game in the next few years, whether it be at Chelsea or another Premier League club, surely he is a player destined for the very top.
