Bristol City have posted a video of January signing Nahki Wells looking in fantastic form in training, which has drawn an excited response from many fans of the South West club.

The Robins have been in need of a new striker since Benik Afobe suffered a ligament injury back in September and completed the signing of Wells late in the winter transfer window.

The 29-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at QPR, scoring 13 goals in 26 Championship games, but was recalled by his parent club Burnley and sold to City for £5 million.

Robins fans were treated to a glimpse of Wells during the 1-0 win over the R's on Saturday as he came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute.

The club have provided supporters with more footage of their new striker, posting a video of the Bermudian in training yesterday.

The clip hints that Wells may be ready to hit the ground running for the Robins, who will be pushing for the play-offs in the second half of the season.

Lee Johnson's men are sixth as things stand and would climb up to third if they beat Birmingham City at Ashton Gate on Friday night.

The latest footage of Wells appears to have caught the attention of many Robins fans, who took to Twitter to express their thoughts.
