Coventry City picked up three points last night at home to Wycombe Wanderers and the opening goal was a moment of magic provided by captain Michael Doyle.

The Sky Blues won 3-2 at the Ricoh Arena courtesy of a Marc McNulty double and Doyle's strike.

Doyle got the ball rolling for Coventry with a speculative effort which found its way into the back of the net.

The veteran central midfielder moved into the left hand channel to intercept the ball and, spotting the goalkeeper off his line, decided to thump it towards goal first time from over 40 yards.

The ball swirled in the air, deceived Scott Brown between the sticks and went in via the underside of the crossbar.

Coventry fans were amazed by this goal with some claiming that it was the goal of the season so far.
