‘Go on then, ‘Would be great’ – Many Nottingham Forest fans react to surprise transfer link

Nottingham Forest are interested in signing NAC Breda forward Sydney van Hooijdonk, according to Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre (04/12, 18:06).
The Reds are likely to address their goalscoring problems in January, having scored only nine goals in the Championship thus far this season.
Lyle Taylor is their leading goalscorer with four goals, whilst Lewis Grabban is yet to open his goalscoring account this season having been injured.
Van Hooijdonk is reportedly attracting interest from Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City after an impressive start to the campaign.
The 20-year-old has scored eight goals in 12 appearances for Breda this season, and has been in fine form for the Dutch club.
His contract expires at the end of the season, though, meaning that he will be free to speak to clubs in the January transfer window.
Sydney’s father, Pierre van Hooijdonk, scored 41 goals in only 77 games for Forest in his playing days, so it would be an interesting addition for more than one reason.
Here, we take a look at Forest fans’ reactions to this emerging transfer news…

Deary me,that's one scab that really doesn't need picking, we have enough problems has it is without giving is dad a platform to keep having a pop,not saying the boy would be trouble like his father but certainly comes with far to much negative baggage that's just not needed, π
