West Bromwich Albion manager Darren Moore has a decision to make on whether to sign veteran duo Wes Hoolahan and Russell Martin, who have been on trial at the club as reported in the Express & Star.

36-year-old midfielder Hoolahan and 32-year-old defender Martin are currently free agents and have been looking to impress whilst at the Hawthorns.

Out team give their opinions on whether the Baggies should sign the players.

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

Not Hoolahan, they’ve already got an aging midfielder in Chris Brunt, they don’t need another.

Martin might be worth a stab though, they could do with reinforcements at the back and he’s also a little younger too.

It couldn’t hurt to bring him in and see how he does for six months, if they can sort the deal.

Sam Rourke

Go for it.

I still think this duo have something to offer in the second tier, and their experience would bring lots on the pitch and in the dressing room.

They probably won't be guaranteed starters, but just to have them around the place would make them useful additions to the squad.

I feel West Brom could give or take these signings.

By no means are they necessary, but they would be a luxury as the pair have extensive Championship experience between them that would help the younger players and the squad in general who have been in the Premier League for a while.

They would be squad players who can help in training and late on in games when game management is a little lacking.

If they sign, they sign. If they don’t they don’t - it wouldn't be the end of the world for Darren Moore.

Louie Chandler

I think so.

Whilst the Baggies have a great starting XI their squad depth still leaves a lot to be desired.

Both Hoolahan and Marting would add this considerably and with both having won promotions to the Premier League before would be great heads to have around.
