Southampton are lining up a double move for young Aston Villa duo Keinan Davis and Andre Green, with the Saints considering a £3m-4m bid for the pair, according to the Daily Mail.

Would the Villa pair be good signings for the south coast outfit? Are they good enough for the Premier League? Should Villa do all they can to keep hold of them?

I’m not sure Green and Davis are ready for the top-flight.

However, they both have huge potential and Southampton could secure a bargain deal for the duo.

Surely if they were signed, a loan deal back to the Football League would be on the cards.

Jay Williams

Southampton should take advantage of Villa's financial woes and go for this double deal.

Green and Davis are still young but they have already proven they are more than capable of competing in the Championship and a move to Southampton would allow them to become Premier League players.

While they might not be ready for the Saints' first-team yet, they are certainly future stars in the making.

Go for it Hughes.

Chris Gallagher

I'm not sure.

They're both talented youngsters and given Villa have to sell it's good for Southampton.

However, I don't see an immediate pathway to the first-team for them and they could just end up playing U23 football for the next few years so I think they should stay at Villa even though an offer from a Premier League club will be tempting.
