It's fair to say Leeds United fans aren't having the best of times right now.

They've tumbled down the Championship table and have won just once in the last 14 matches.

They did pick up a point this weekend, although a Eunan O'Kane own goal ultimately cost them all three points against struggling Reading.

That result saw them remained marooned in 13th place, their play-off dreams over for another season.

Fans could be forgiven for looking for something to distract them from the banality of another failed league campaign, perhaps with a spot of horse racing?

The club released an official tweet this morning with details of a special offer from Football League's sponsor Sky Bet, for the upcoming Cheltenham Festival.

The festival, set to take place between the 13th and 16th of March, is one of the premier events in the horse racing calendar and the club's official tweet read 'Move over football, it's time for the Cheltenham Festival.' Perhaps, with hindsight, it might not have been the best choice of words to deliver to unhappy football fans.

It drew hilarious responses from the club's long-suffering supporters. They took to Twitter to question to give their opinions on Leeds United's aspirations, both now and since the start of the season.
