Glenn Murray insists he hasn't thought about his future at Nottingham Forest beyond this season, after speaking to Nottinghamshire Live.

Murray spent the first half of the season on loan at Watford from Brighton, making only six appearances for the Hornets during his time at Vicarage Road.

In January, Murray's loan at Watford was cancelled before Brighton bid farewell to him on a permanent basis, with the striker joining Nottingham Forest on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Murray has since been a key player under Chris Hughton, scoring two goals in seven appearances for Forest and making five starts for the Reds.

With only two months of the season remaining, Murray will be looking to impress and hope to earn a new deal at the City Ground.

Speaking to Nottinghamshire Live, Murray has insisted that he hasn't thought about his future beyond this season, and remains focused on keeping his head down and working hard.

He said: "From a personal point of view, I spent six months at Watford and it didn’t go well. It was a bad time for me on a personal level, even though the club were doing well.

“The gaffer gave me an opportunity to come and play football for a great club, in Nottingham Forest.

“It’s 12 weeks’ work that I’m going to enjoy as much as I possibly can, playing football at my age.

“What happens after that, who knows. At the minute, I feel great, but I might go out tomorrow and something might go wrong, who knows."

The Verdict

Murray has been impressive since joining the Reds and has certainly added a focal point to Forest's attack.

His two goals against Wycombe were both excellent, and his overall hold-up play and presence has been key for the Reds.

Hughton knows how to get the best out of him and knows him well, so if he can keep fit, he could be a perfect player to build around in the summer.
