Glen Kamara has said that he remains focused on playing for Rangers after reports of a move to England.

Reports from Football Insider claim that Leeds United are plotting a move for the central midfielder after an excellent start to the season.

The 24-year-old only arrived at Ibrox over the summer after joining on a pre-contract agreement following two years with Dundee.

Kamara started his career with Southend United before linking up with Arsenal in 2015, where he enjoyed several loan spells before moving up to Scotland.

Speaking of links with Marcelo Bielsa's side, Kamara says that he owes a lot to the Scottish set up and won't consider a move 'until told otherwise'.

Talking to YLE News in his native Finland, the midfielder said: "Going up to Scotland’s been good for me, for my career.

"You have everything there, nutrition, the coaches, you’ve got your team-mates, better players who make you better yourself, so it’s been great.

"You know what, I’m a Rangers player until told otherwise, I have no relevance to anything else so I’m focused on Rangers and Finland at the moment."

The verdict

There's no doubt that Glen Kamara is a real talent.

After learning his trade in the professional game with Dundee, he's gone from strength to strength since linking up with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard at Rangers.

Such is the trajectory of his career, you'd imagine that the next stop could be the English Premier League, and so for Leeds United it's crucial that they secure promotion to be in the running for a player with the quality of the 24-year-old.
