After weeks of speculation and a long list of candidates, QPR have finally got their man, after the club announced on Wednesday afternoon that they have appointed Mark Warburton to replace Steve McClaren as manager on a two year deal.

Following confirmation by the club, Warburton, who has previously managed in the Championship with Nottingham Forest and Rangers' local rivals Brentford, took to Twitter to send his own message to the fans saying he felt "privileged to be joining a tremendous club", adding that he is "very much looking forward to the challenge ahead".

Following a dismal second half to the season that saw the club finish 19th in the Championship with just three league wins in 2019, many fans are now appear to be expecting an improvement in performances under Warburton, as suggested by their responses to their new manager's tweet.
