It looks set to be a summer of change for Sheffield Wednesday given the number of players with contracts expiring and many fans of the Yorkshire club have been debating putting faith in some of the Owls' young players next term.

According to Transfermarkt, the permanent contracts of 13 Wednesday players are set to expire this summer, while Connor Wickham, Jacob Murphy, and Josh Windass are all due to return to their parent clubs at the end of their loan deals.

It remains to be seen how many of those players the Owls will to look keep at the club moving forward but it appears Garry Monk's squad could look very different next term.

That may mean more responsibility and more chances to impress for some of Wednesday's young players.

The likes of Alex Hunt, Conor Grant, Ben Hughes, Osaze Urhoghide, and Preslav Borukov have all featured for the first-team or been included in matchday squads this term and may be eyeing up an opportunity looking ahead.

Has Fernando Forestieri done these 11 things at Sheffield Wednesday? Have a go now!
