Gillingham manager Justin Edinburgh is sure that trio Aaron Morris, Josh Wright and Stuart Nelson will sign new deals with the League One side, according to the Kent Messenger.
The Gills released their retained list last week and stated the club had offered new deals to some players out-of-contract, including 19 year-old Irishmen Emmanuel Osadebe.
Midfielder Aaron Morris has just finished his second season with the Priestfield club, making 58 appearances in that period.
Whilst Josh Wright had signed with Gillingham last August, the day before the opening day of the season, and it hasn’t taken Wright long to settle in the hearts of the Gills faithful.
‘Keeper Stuart Nelson has been ever-present between the sticks at Gillingham, joining the summer prior to their promotion to League 1 in 2013, collecting 161 appearances for the Kent side and is another player who the Gills’ supporters have taken to be their own.
Only four players were released at Priestfield; Brennan Dickenson, captain and boyhood fan Doug Loft, Jermaine McGlashan and Glenn Morris. Professional contracts were also offered to youngsters Mitchell Dickenson, Greg Cundle and Darren Oldaker.
