Current free agent Simon Gillett will have the chance to further impress Yeovil manager Gary Johnson, after his trial period at the club was extended.
Gillett was released at the end of last season by Nottingham Forest after Stuart Pearce decided not to keep hold of the midfielder. Gillett spent the second half of last season on loan at Bristol City after finding first team opportunities hard to come by at the City Ground.
The 28 year old featured for Gary Johnson’s side in the recent 1-1 friendly draw with Reading. The Huish Park side are looking to rebuild their side having also suffered relegation alongside Gillett’s former team Doncaster Rovers last season.
Gillett is no stranger to Yeovil having had a brief loan spell at the club in 2007 during his time with Southampton, and Johnson will be keen to add someone of Gillett’s experience to his squad should he prove his form and fitness this summer.
