The 48-year-old Italian has been without a club since resigning from Sky Bet Championship side Watford on 16th December 2013.

According to FLW sources, Zola is joined by Kit Symons as the two main front-runners for the job at the London club.

Felix Magath was sacked from his post as Fulham manager last month, after an abysmal start to life in the second tier of English football.

Other than Watford, Zola has also managed West Ham United from 2008 to 2010, however he was sacked after leaving the Hammers in 17th place in the 2009/10 season.
