Sunderland boss Jack Ross has made three changes as his side look to get back to winning ways against Gillingham at the Stadium of Light tonight.

The Black Cats have drawn seven of their last nine league games and that has seen them fall behind in the race for automatic promotion.

The latest draw came against Accrington Stanley on Friday night, when Ross' men fought back from 2-0 down to salvage a point.

And, the ex-St. Mirren boss has decided to reward Chris Maguire with a starting spot after his impressive impact from the bench last time out.

As well as that, defender Tom Flanagan and midfielder Lee Cattermole come into the side, with Jack Baldwin, Lynden Gooch and Charlie Wyke missing out.

News of the XI generated a mixed response from supporters who know that this is a game they really need to be winning.
