Nottingham Forest fell to only their second defeat in 12 last night, losing 1-0 to Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

The Reds produced a hugely impressive performance in South Wales, and should have arguably come away from the Liberty Stadium with all three points rather than zero.

Chris Hughton’s side had numerous chances to win the game over the course of the 90 minutes, but Connor Roberts took advantage of poor defending to rise highest and head in Jake Bidwell’s cross in the latter stages of the contest.

Forest lost out in the EFL Cup before even starting the league campaign - who were they defeated by?

Anthony Knockaert was undoubtedly one of Forest’s bright sparks on the night, with the winger causing the Swans plenty of problems.

The Frenchman hit the crossbar in the final kick of the first half, and his deliveries into the area caused havoc for the hosts.

We are starting to see Knockaert at his best in a Forest shirt, and he is really beginning to show the quality he possessed under Hughton whilst at Brighton together.
