Birmingham City have had a slow start to the season with the Blues down in 17th place, eleven points off the league leaders and with only two wins to their name so far this season.

Goals have been a problem for the Blues with only 13 scored in 12 rounds of matches but things have picked up of late with 29-year-old striker Lukas Jutkiewicz chipping in with six goals so far this campaign.

But how does this season rate for this well-travelled striker?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

He has probably been one of their better players.

Six goals in 12 matches, two assists and he has been their star man in at least four of their matches this season.

His power and strength up top give Birmingham a focal point and an outlet to keep the ball and get further up the pitch.

A very good season so far for the 29-year-old.

Gary Hutchinson

Brilliant.

Jutkiewicz is one who has never really impressed, he’s never broken out and made a name for himself.

He’s got the chance now, but I suspect it is his last season in the sun.

George Dagless

Getting better all the time.

He's never going to score many goals but his link-up play and ability to hold up the ball is starting to yield results for the Blues.

What he is in the team for he does very well and he deserved his hat-trick at the weekend.

Jacob Potter

He’s been excellent this season, and his stats don’t lie as to how good he’s been this season.

He's a very underrated striker and a lot of his hard work goes unnoticed due to the more spectacular-looking players around him. But, with a hat-trick at the weekend, he deserves all the plaudits that come his way.
