Jordan Rhodes is a man back in form, and after a disappointing spell in recent seasons, the striker's return to form has certainly been a long time coming.

The Scotsman netted a brace as Norwich narrowly beat Dean Smith's Aston Villa in midweek, a result which saw Norwich move up to fourth in the Championship table.

With four league goals to his name this campaign, he is well on the way to matching last season's tally.

Rhodes has only made seven starts this season, which makes his goal tally even more impressive.

The 28-year-old certainly seems to be responding well to the competition he faces from Teemu Pukki for the starting striker spot at Carrow Road.

But is Rhodes the man to fire Norwich City into the promotion hunt this season?

We discuss....

Louie Chandler

If he can regain his consistency then of course.

Rhodes was probably the Championship's most lethal marksman until the last couple of seasons.

With him and Pukki both having the potential to hit 20 goals, you have to say the Canaries have a chance.

Gary Hutchinson

I've always liked Jordan Rhodes and there's every chance he could fire Norwich to success.

He's a natural goalscorer and how he flopped at Wednesday is a mystery.

They'll be monitoring the situation too because if Norwich do go up, they might recoup a chunk of that £10m they forked out for him.

If he gets the Canaries promoted, that will be small change.

Alfie Burns

Last night's performance was really encouraging and a sign that Rhodes is getting back to his best under Daniel Farke.

It's only one game though, with Rhodes needing to be far more consistent.

If, and it is a big if, Rhodes can maintain last night's performance levels, there is no reason why he can't fire Norwich into top-six contention.
