Sheffield Wednesday fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Middlesbrough last night in what was a poor night for Jos Luhukay's men.

The Owls struggled to get control of the game and ultimately fell behind through individual errors, with captain Tom Lees having a particularly poor night.

The centre-back was beaten far too easily for Boro's opener when Mo Besic scored and his night got worse from there.

Lees was then sloppy in possession and played an awful ball that allowed Besic through and he squared for Assombalonga who tapped in for what turned out to be the winner.

That continues Wednesday's defensive woes this season, with the Yorkshire side yet to keep a clean sheet this season and they will drop out of the top six later this afternoon.

Unsurprisingly, many fans were not happy with Lees' performance at Hillsbrough last night, with some calling for him to be dropped against QPR in the week.

Here's how they reacted on twitter...
