Liverpool are said to be wanting to sell Ovie Ejaria for a fee in the region of £3m amid rumours that he could join Reading according to Goal journalist, Neil Jones.

Jones claims that Ejaria is also attracting interest from Brentford, who could be prepared to sign him on a permanent deal before the transfer window closes.

This will be a hugely frustrating update for Reading, with journalist, Courtney Friday previously reporting that Ejaria would join the club in the near future.

The midfielder spent the second-half of last year's campaign on loan with Jose Gomes' side and certainly played his part as they retained their status as a Championship club for another season.

But with Liverpool wanting to move Ejaria on permanently this summer, Reading could miss out on one of their top targets, as it seems unlikely that they'll be able to match the Reds' valuation of the 21-year-old.

Plenty of Reading fans took to social media to react to this latest update.
