Aston Villa will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing fortnight, as they look to travel to Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

Steve Bruce's men are without a win in their last four league games, a losing run that was extended last weekend after a 4-1 thumping away at Sheffield United.

Bruce has been busy in the transfer window with the loan signings of Tammy Abraham, Yannick Bolasie and Anwar El Ghazi, however it is clear that Villa's defence is the area that requires the most work.

There is, of course, still time for the West Midlands side to react, and the opportunity is there for Bruce to further bolster his squad with the addition of free agents.

Here, we take a look at two free agents that Villa should really be looking at...

There is no secret that John Terry and Aston Villa looks to be a perfect match, and Steve Bruce's men have recently been given a boost in the pursuit of their former captain.

The 37-year old was reportedly closing in on a move to Russian side Spartak Moscow, however the deal is now believed to be off, making a move back to Villa Park even more likely.

Villa are in desperate need of another centre-half, typified after their 4-1 thumping away at Sheffield United last weekend.

Should a move for Terry fail to materialise, then Robert Huth should definitely be on Bruce's radar.

The 34-year old departed Leicester City at the end of last season, after making 68 appearances for the Foxes as well as lifting a Premier League title during his time there.
