‘Get that dinosaur out of our club’ – Plenty of Nottingham Forest fans fume after another disappointing weekend

Nottingham Forest’s play-off hopes look to be dead and buried, after succumbing to a 2-1 away defeat to Rotherham United at the weekend.

The Reds were bound to be feeling full of confidence after a coming back to win 2-1 against Swansea City last time out, and were hoping to keep their top six dream alive ahead of a trip to the New York Stadium.

But it was the Millers who started off the better team, breaking the deadlock early on thanks to a Michael Smith strike. Lewis Grabban then ended his somewhat drought in front of goal when he leveled the scores on the half-hour mark, but Michael Ihiekwe netted late on to secure all three points for Paul Warne’s men.

The result in Yorkshire leaves Forest sitting 9th in the Sky Bet Championship table, five points off the top six with just six games left to play – the complete opposite direction to where the club will have wanted to go when parting ways with Aitor Karanka.
