‘Get Prem now!’ – Bristol City fans react to Johnson’s latest update
It is hard to see how Bristol City boss Lee Johnson could be anything other than bursting with pride with his side after the way they ran runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City so close in the semi finals of the League Cup.
The Robins maybe overplayed at times in the first half, which cost them when Leroy Sane’s goal meant they needed to score two to take the game to extra time, but their performance over the two legs was better than many Premier League sides have offered up in opposition to City so far this season.
Johnson took to Twitter to express his pride in how his side played against a side he described as the best in Europe – and state that he hopes that there will be more nights like that for the club to enjoy under him in the future.
