Leeds United are trying to step up their work in the transfer window, with deals beginning to fall into place following the end of the World Cup.
Today, the signing of Jamal Blackman has been confirmed, with Leeds sealing the goalkeeper’s service on a season-long loan and ending their search for a new first choice goalkeeper.
The 24-year-old is a member of Chelsea’s squad, but last season, spent the year across Yorkshire with Sheffield United.
During his time at Bramall Lane, Blackman featured on 33 occasions, impressing under Chris Wilder and helping the Blades finish 10th on their return to the Championship.
As expected, after a slow start to the summer, there was plenty of reaction from Leeds’ supporters.

It’s been such a slow start to the summer for Leeds and Marcelo Bielsa, but this is encouraging.
Blackman is a good addition and Leeds’ supporters will hope he’s the first of many signings between now and the end of the month.
