Rangers are edging closer to sealing a deal for Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor, with a pre-contract agreement set to be signed, according to Sky Sports.

Would this be a good move from the Gers?

We discuss...

Alfie Burns

Absolutely, McGregor knows the club and still has a lot to offer, despite his age.

His form this season with Hull has been impressive, despite the Tigers fighting towards the bottom of the Championship table.

For me, he will improve Rangers’ starting XI.

George Dagless

A decent looking signing but it throws up a question...

If McGregor does join Rangers, where does it leave Wes Foderingham?

It might suggest that the Gers are willing to let him go to bring the Hull man in and then it'll be up to the Tigers to adapt to his departure

Chris Gallagher

It would be a decent signing.

The McGregor that Rangers fans will remember was a top-quality keeper but he won't be at the same level now.

He's still a good player though and knows the club well. It seems a smart move.

Gary Hutchinson

This would be a good signing, definitely.

McGregor might be 36-years old but as a keeper, you often play on well past the sort of age outfield players retire. He's experienced and most of all, he's something of an Ibrox legend already.

Get it sorted, now.
