Celtic are set to rival Crystal Palace in the race to sign QPR midfielder Ryan Manning, according to Football Insider.

Would the 21-year-old player be a good fit for the Bhoys?

We discuss....

Jay Williams

Manning would probably be a good signing for Celtic but it is not the right move for the player.

The 21-year-old is likely to get less game time at Celtic and he will be playing against lower level teams than he currently is at QPR.

With Premier League interest in him as well, Manning would be wise to reject these advances (for now) and continue his development with regular games at QPR.

George Dagless

I could really see it working.

He's a young player with a bit to learn but he's quickly adapted at QPR and would do the same at Celtic.

Scott Brown would be a big influence on him and so it's a deal that would probably be positive.

Get it done Rodgers!

Alfie Burns

This would be a big move for the young midfielder.

Celtic have taken some good players out of the Championship before and developed them into better players, which will make the move appealing to Manning.

Next season might be too soon for Manning to make an impact at Celtic, but Brendan Rodgers might be looking to get ahead of a host of clubs who could potentially move for the midfielder in the future.
