Blackburn Rovers are looking forward to their upcoming campaign in the Championship after they bounced back at the first time of asking.

Rovers were excellent last season, under the guidance of Tony Mowbray, as they won promotion to the Championship via the automatic spots in League One, eventually finishing second behind Wigan Athletic.

Now, Blackburn will be hoping to cement their place back in the second tier after their disappointing relegation in the 2016/17 season.

Work needs to be done in the summer transfer window but it has been positive so far with new players arriving at Ewood Park.

Darragh Lenihan is one of a few players to have signed a new contract while Joe Rothwell and Jacob Davenport have signed from Oxford United and Manchester City respectively.

Here are three deals that Mowbray needs to get done soon in this summer window.

Maddison hit 10 goals and contributed with 21 assists last season for Peterborough United - which is a staggering tally for a midfield man.

The 24-year-old has been consistently hitting high figures in both goals and assists for Posh and Blackburn should make him their man.

Blackburn should look into another loan or permanent deals for Adam Armstrong, Harry Chapman and Jack Payne.

Attacking midfielders Chapman and Payne impressed at Ewood Park, while Armstrong was prolific in front of goal.

To fend off any potential suitors, Blackburn need to reward Dack with a new and improved contract extension.

The 24-year-old hit 18 goals for Rovers last season and was named as the League One Player of the Year.
