Derby County took a risk this summer by appointing inexperienced manager Frank Lampard as Gary Rowett’s successor.
After narrowly missing out on a spot in the play-off final after a defeat against eventual winners Fulham over two legs, Rowett decided to leave Pride Park and start a new project at Stoke City.
Lampard arrived as his replacement despite never managing a senior team before, but his reputation within the game speaks for itself.
The Chelsea and England legend will be hoping for immediate success with the Rams and he has been casting his eye over several transfer targets.
While the start of the summer has been relatively quiet compared to other clubs, you can expect Derby to burst into life soon and start signing new players.
Here are three deals that Lampard should hope to get over the line sooner rather than later.
