Slowly but surely, Aitor Karanka is addressing all the issues that needed looking at during the summer transfer window.
Nottingham Forest had a disappointing campaign last time out and will be looking for major improvements.
But their early summer transfer business has certainly got fans dreaming of a long awaited promotion back to the Premier League.
The Reds needed a new goalkeeper and secured Costel Pantilimon’s services on a permanent deal.
They also needed a goal scorer and Lewis Grabban and Hillal Soudani have both arrived at The City Ground.
Karanka has also gone to work addressing their frailties at the back by adding free agents Jack Robinson and Michael Dawson, while adding creativity in midfield too with the captures of Joao Carvalho (a club record signing), Gil Dias and Diogo Goncalves.
The work is not all done now and here are three deals Karanka needs to get done now to finalise their summer business.
