Birmingham City continued their preparations for the upcoming Championship campaign with an impressive 6-1 victory over Swindon Town with one player, in particular, producing a stand-out performance.

Signed yesterday for an undisclosed fee from Willem II (via BBC Sport), Dan Crowley was included in the Blues' starting eleven for their friendly with the Robins at the Trillion Trophy Training Centre and made an immediate impact for his new side by being directly involved in three goals in the first-half.

After opening the scoring with a classy finish in 5th minute, the 21-year-old provided a defence-splitting pass for Isaac Vassell who then set up Odin Bailey who fired home.

With less than ten minutes left to play in the half, Crowley teed up Craig Gardner who unleashed an unstoppable strike from long-range.

Substituted in the 60th minute by boss Pep Clotet, the midfielder watched on as Jude Bellingham bagged a brace to top off what was a fine afternoon for the Blues.

Reacting to Crowley's performance on Twitter, plenty of Birmingham fans lauded the new signing for his display.

Here are some of the best responses from the Blues supporters...

Crowley will be hoping that by continuing to impress for Birmingham during the club's remaining pre-season fixtures, he will be to claim a starting role against Brentford on August 3rd.
