Plenty of Mansfield Town fans have taken to social media to react to the news that the club have appointed Graham Coughlan as their new manager.

The 45-year-old has left League One promotion hopefuls Bristol Rovers to take charge of the Stags, who are currently 18th in League Two, seven points above the relegation zone.

Mansfield are without a league win since October 26 and sacked former manager John Dempster on Saturday after just seven months of him in charge at Field Mill, following a run of six games without a win in all competitions.

Former defender Coughlan began his career in management when he took caretaker charge of Bristol Rovers in 2018, in his five games in temporary charge of the Gas, he picked up ten points helping the team climb out of the relegation zone.

He was appointed as Bristol Rovers permanent manager in January 2019 and guided the club to a 15th in League One last season.

He leaves the The Memorial Stadium with the Gas fourth in the League One table, just two points outside the automatic promotion places.
