The City Ground was set to play host to Nottingham Forest against Huddersfield Town on Wednesday evening, but given the current global events and the suspension of the EFL until 3rd April, the game will have to be played at a later date.

As it stood at the time of suspension, Town sit three points above the Championship drop-zone and would have faced a tricky test when they traveled to West Bridgford on Wednesday evening.

Forest who lay fifth in the table at the time of suspension, have only lost nine games out of their 37 so far this term.

One of those defeats came at the hand to Huddersfield Town on 21st December, where Danny Cowley's men ran out 2-1 winners over the Reds at the John Smith's Stadium.

Town had started the 2019-2020 season in disastrous fashion and had to wait until their tenth attempt to win their first league game and have since won ten more games to pull them above the bottom three.

The Terriers' victory over Forest back in December was their sixth of the campaign with Christopher Schindler opening the scoring 27 minutes into the game crashing the ball past a stranded Brice Samba from 12 yards out.

Things got better for Town just four minutes into the second half when Steve Mounie grabbed his first goal of the season to double Town's led with a close-range header.

Despite Joe Worrall pulling one back for the Reds, the Terriers clung on for a precious three points, with the win seeing them move six points clear of the Championship drop-zone at the time.

QUIZ: Can you name these 15 ex-Town defenders?

A heated game saw Danny Cowley accuse Forest's staff of a "lack of respect" in a post-match bust-up which has since seen Town assistant manager Nicky Cowley charged with using "abusive and/or insulting words."

Despite tempers flaring at the end of the game, Town fans certainly enjoyed the result and the performance their players delivered that day...
