‘Get in, can’t wait for Brum’ – Plenty of Coventry City fans react as win sets up clash with Birmingham City

Coventry City beat Bristol Rovers to setup a St Andrews clash with Birmingham City in the FA Cup fourth round.

After being held by Rovers in the first game of their FA Cup third round tie, Coventry looked to progress as they hosted the visitors at temporary ground St Andrews.

Heading in to the game, Mark Robins’ side also had the prospect of a fourth round tie with Birmingham City, who are the mainstay team at the St Andrews stadium.

Maxime Biamou would send the home fans in to celebration in the fourth minute and the game would be relatively easy for the Sky Blues to handle.

Leading 1-0 in to the half time break, Coventry would extend their lead just five minutes in to the second half when Josh Pask added a second.

Biamou wanted to add gloss to the result and the French striker added his second and his side’s third four minutes before the hour mark.

Coventry advanced and will now host Birmingham at their own stadium where full details of seating allocation is yet to be confirmed.
