Following the loan signing of Chelsea's Kasey Palmer earlier in this summer’s transfer window, attention now turns to what role the youngster will play for the Riversiders this season.

The 21-year-old forward spent the latter stages of last season on loan at Derby County, helping guide them to a play-off semi-final in his 16 appearances for the Rams.
Palmer has previously enjoyed two spells on loan at Huddersfield Town, racking up 28 appearances in his year and a half with the Terriers, in which he helped them achieve promotion to the Premier League in 2017.
There is no denying the youngsters quality, but will Tony Mowbray take a risk and start Kasey Palmer in their opening day fixture?
We discuss whether the young forward should start for Blackburn Rovers against Ipswich Town on Saturday.

He would improve them from the start but with any player signing so close to first game, they tend to sit on the bench.
Mowbray should give his backing to the team that got promoted last year so I would think Palmer will have a watching start on Saturday.
Gary Hutchinson
Palmer and Dack in midfield, I tell you what; that is some partnership.
Get him in the first team and let those two pull the strings. They still need a forward in my opinion, but the midfield is as good as any outside the top five.
Alfie Burns
Absolutely, Mowbray needs to be building his team around Palmer this season.
During his recent loan spells, Palmer has had others ahead of him in the pecking order, but at Ewood Park, I can see him excelling.
He should have a key role to play.
