With the pressure building on Paul Lambert at Ipswich Town, Neil Warnock is reportedly being lined up as a replacement for the Scot at Portman Road.
The Tractor Boys’ bid for promotion has derailed over the past few months, with the club going from table-toppers to ninth place in the Sky Bet League One table.
With 12 games remaining, Town sit five points off the play-off places and have only won one of their last seven games, after losing 2-1 to managerless Blackpool at the weekend.
If Lambert were to leave Portman Road, the Sunday Mirror (01/03, page 74) claim that Warnock is interested in becoming the new Ipswich manager and could replace the former.
Warnock has been out of work since leaving Cardiff City in the early stages of the campaign, after claiming that it would be his last game as a manager before retiring.
But the 71-year-old is 12 games short of 1500 as a manager, and could return to management in order to surpass that remarkable milestone.
Here, then, we take a look at Ipswich fans’ reactions to Warnock potentially taking over at Portman Road…

My hate for him is still very strong! I’m not sure I could bare him in charge.

Was thinking about this earlier and think that would be return my season ticket territory

Well, quite. I’ve grown to like him more over the years but I don’t want him here.
Don’t see Lambert going before Summer anyway so hopefully Evans has some sensible ideas.

With Warnock coming in it's probably too late now for a promotion push and he's not a miracle worker but next season will be worth looking forward to 🍻#itfc

If the rumours are true it would be great to see Neil Warnock take over until the end of the season
He has a superb record for getting average teams promoted.. it could just be the boost the players need to get into the play offs…What do we have to lose #itfc
