According to The Sack Race, former Germany striker Bruno Labbadia has emerged as a 9/1 contender with Sky Bet for the vacant managerial role at Norwich City.

Bruno Labbadia has jumped into contention but still remains behind other candidates on the list of favourites to become the next permanent manager at Carrow Road.

The Canaries are searching for a new manager since parting ways with Alex Neil earlier this month.

Former West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Irvine has overseen the role as an interim boss and he remains as second favourite to land the job – Irvine is 9/4 with Sky Bet.

Fleetwood Town’s Uwe Rosler is still the favourite (8/13) with Barnsley’s Paul Heckingbottom joint third favourite at 9/1 with Bruno Labbadia.

Bruno Labbadia was most recently manager of Hamburger SV in Germany and he has also been in charge of SV Darmstadt 98, SpVgg Greuther Furth, Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart.

Other candidates include David Wagner (18/1) and former England boss Roy Hodgson (20/1).
