Millwall have been tremendous this season with George Saville playing a key role.

The Lions still have a slim chance of finishing in the play-offs, although it would require certain results to go their way as well as a huge goal swing. However, it's still been an excellent season for them because it shouldn't be forgotten that they came through the League One play-offs last season.

Saville has scored 10 goals as well as assisting one from central midfield as he has fitted in seamlessly into the team after joining from Wolves in the summer.

This is what he had to say about his central midfield partner Shaun Williams to the official Millwall site: "The formation we play it's not easy to make the box, but with the likes of Williams behind me. I think he's been unbelievable this season."

"I think he's been fantastic and he's given me the licence to go forwards and also almost play as a false 10 instead of sitting in deep with him."

The Verdict

Saville and Williams have an ideal balance which allows them to work well together because Williams is more defensive-minded while Saville likes to support attacks.

Neil Harris has utilised a simple style of play with a focus on the basics, but it has worked well and he deserves plaudits for ensuring that his team use their strengths well. His task only gets tougher, though, because fans will want more after an impressive season while other teams won't underestimate them.
