Gary Rowett has recently taken over at Millwall after Neil Harris resigned from the club after a successful period in charge.

It was quite a shock to Championship fans to see that Harris had resigned, but Millwall fans will have been delighted to see a manager such as Rowett take over, especially with his experience in the division.

Since he's taken over, Millwall have won twice and lost just once and they'll be hoping a consistent run could potentially see them start challenging in the top-half of the division.

However, recently Neil Harris actually took over at Cardiff City after Neil Warnock had been sacked, and he now has aims of taking his side into the top six of the Championship. The Bluebirds have had a really inconsistent period since relegation from the Premier League, but believe Harris is the man to push them on.

There is one big part of the season to come and that comes within the transfer window. With Harris taking over at Cardiff it's no doubt that he would have had an eye on several of his ex players who he think may be able to do a job in the Welsh capital.

Millwall manager Rowett has ensured that he is not looking to do any deals with Harris and his side, but that suggests that is has been on his mind. That worry may get to his players, especially if their heads are turned by going to work with their old boss and play for a side that has an ambition of getting back to the Premier League.

The month of January will be crucial for Millwall and the rest of their campaign. We all know how much the Millwall players respected and liked Harris as a manager, it is pivotal that they keep hold of key players such as Jed Wallace and Tom Bradshaw, and ensure that any potential enquiry for Harris or another Championship club is declined.

Rowett has the potential to do very well at Millwall, but he must be cautious on outside influencers.
