Millwall's recent slump continued on Saturday, following a 1-0 defeat at home to Derby County.

Not only have the Lions gone eight Championship matches without winning, but the loss to the Rams, courtesy of Jason Knight's second-half strike, ended Gary Rowett's run of never having lost consecutive league games as Millwall manager.

Perhaps even more concerning for Rowett is that his side have only managed three goals during those seven fixtures - which now means only the bottom-four have scored fewer (13) than the Londoners this term.

However, Millwall's attacking department hasn't been helped with a host of recent injuries to a number of key players.

On-loan West Brom man Kenneth Zohore hasn't featured for more than a month, whilst Connor Mahoney, Mason Bennett and Tom Bradshaw have all been out with respective injuries recently.

Quiz: Which club did Millwall sell each of these 20 players to?

But in better news, the latter two could be available for the Lions' game against Queens Park Rangers at The Den on Tuesday night - with Rowett providing an encouraging update on the duo.

He told NewsatDen: "I would hope that maybe Tom Bradshaw would be back, he jarred his knee in the Blackburn game and we felt it was better to leave him based on medical advice.

"We're hoping that Mason might be back, we were hoping that he would be back today but unfortunately not."

The Verdict

Not only are results going against Millwall, but their squad is currently more depleted than ever in recent seasons.

Epitomised by the fact that Rowett had to call upon 19-year-old Tyler Burey to come off the bench  against Derby on Saturday, whilst youngsters Hayden Muller and George Alexander were both on the bench for the Lions, meaning the likes of Bennett and Bradshaw would be a timely boost.

But there's no better time to get their season back on track than against one of their London rivals - especially with fans now back inside The Den.
