Derby need a win in this match to get out of their mini-crisis.

The Rams are now outside the play-offs with just four games to rectify that. They do have a game in hand, but it's against Cardiff, so it won't be easy by any means.

This match is key, though, because Boro are direct rivals so they can't afford to let them build up the lead they currently have.

There is a lot of pressure on Derby going into this game because they have been in the play-off positions for the majority of the season, so Rowett needs to pick an experienced side in order to deal with this.

Here's the XI that should start...

The reliable Carson starts in the net as usual.

Wisdom starts on the right and he will be important in pinning back Stewart Downing to reduce his effectiveness.

Gary Rowett has experimented without Keogh but Derby have come unstuck defensively of late, so he needs to be brought back in.

Davies partners Keogh and will be tasked with dealing with Britt Assombalonga.

Olsson returns from injury and has the tough task of stopping Adama Traore.

Huddlestone is the key defensive-minded presence in midfield and he will be important in breaking up opposition attacks.

Johnson is another player returning from injury. His drive from deep positions will be key in pushing Derby up the pitch through counter-attacks and quick transitions.

Weimann has a shoulder knock to deal with, but he should return. His inside runs from wide areas will be important in shifting the Boro defence about.

Vydra needs to find form because he only has two goals in five games and none in the last two games which ended in defeats. Derby are relying on him for inspiration.

Lawrence scored two key goals in the wins against Preston and Bolton, and Rowett will be hoping he can do this again in what is likely to be a close game with Boro.

Nugent leads the line and is important in creating space for the players behind him while also being a threat himself.
